Woman to face 10 years in jail over plot to kill a Swedish artist
Colleen LaRose, 50, has been sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment following her involvement in a conspiracy to kill an artist, an online report by USA Today revealed Monday, January 6.
LaRose adapted the name “Jihad Jane” online and agreed to participate in a scheme to kill a Swedish artist who had insulted Muslims. LaRose initially faced a possible sentence of life-imprisonment before the government decided to cut down her prison term due to her impressive cooperation during the investigation. Nevertheless, prosecutors still requested decades of imprisonment, believing that she can still be dangerous.
