Two facing identity theft charges in Abilene
Two individuals were arrested in Abilene, Texas on November 2nd and are being held on charges of first degree aggravated identity theft after illegally keeping personal information belonging to random victims.
According to reports, Jessie Houston, 30, and Herome Henderson, 49, were both arrested by Abilene Police near the intersection of La Salle Drive and 10th Street. The two were arrested after police suspected them of illegally obtaining personal identification belonging to at least 50 people.
It is still unclear whether or not the two have engaged in act of fraud with the stolen information. Police have confirmed that the arrests of Houston and Henderson are unrelated to an incident in which an ATM was robbed and money and personal information was stolen from hundreds of victims.
