Rock star singer facing DUI and felony charges in Minnesota
American rock star and Puddle of Mudd frontman, Wes Scantlin, was recently arrested for allegedly leading police on a high-speed chase while driving under the influence of alcohol in southern Minnesota late last month.
According to reports, the 43-year-old Puddle of Mudd vocalist has been charged with two counts of DUI and felony charge of attempting to flee authorities in a motor vehicle. Police reported that Scantlin reached speeds of 100 mph in a 60 mph zone. An initial breathalyzer test revealed that Scantlin had a blood alcohol level of 0.31 percent – nearly four times the legal limit in Minnesota. Scantlin posted bail and was discharged from custody on July 27.
