Intoxicated truck driver charged in fatal crash

An intoxicated truck driver in Harris County caused an accident that killed five people and seriously injured one, an article by The Tribune stated on July 1.

Authorities charged truck driver Efraim Carmona, 35, with five manslaughter by intoxicated driving and injury by intoxicated driving after his actions killed five people, the youngest of whom was only three or four years old. Carmona reportedly drove the wrong way down Wilson Road and crashed into a westbound vehicle occupied by six people, including two minors. Only a young girl survived the fatal collision, and she was immediately airlifted to a hospital after suffering serious injuries.
