Rapper Vanilla Ice charged with burglary in Florida

Vanilla Ice is facing felony burglary and grand theft charges in Florida after police suspect that he stole items from a house that was under foreclosure, Daily News reported on February 19.

Reports said the 47-year-old rapper, whose real name is Robert Matthew Van Winkle, turned himself in to police on February 18. Vanilla Ice, who was recently starring in a home renovation show, allegedly stole items like a pool heater, furniture, and bicycles from a nearby house. The rapper later was discharged from Palm Beach County Jail after paying a $6,000 bond. Police Chief Sean Scheller said Vanilla Ice was “very cooperative” during the arrest.
