Houston billionaire convicted of fatal DUI in Florida

Houston magnate John Goodman was convicted in Florida for causing a fatal collision in a drunk driving accident four years ago, chron.com reported on October 28.

According to reports, Goodman, 51, was found guilty of DUI resulting in manslaughter and homicide with a vehicle. The polo mogul reportedly struck another vehicle that was being driven by Scott Patrick Wilson, 23, in West Palm Beach. Police said that Goodman did not yield at a stop sign which resulted in the collision. This is the second time Goodman was tried, as the previous verdict was tossed in 2012 due to juror misconduct.
