Highly intoxicated driver arrested in Austin

A man who was driving a vehicle in Austin while heavily intoxicated was recently charged after authorities found that he had a blood-alcohol level of 0.414, KVUE reported on July 8.

Information coming from the Austin Police Department (APD) revealed that officers apprehended Curt Anderson in the vicinity of Kensington Apartments after receiving a call regarding an accident. Anderson’s vehicle hit another vehicle, although more details about the accident itself were not released. Responding police gave Anderson a breathalyzer test after they noticed several signs of alcohol intoxication. A charge of third-degree felony DWI was filed against Anderson, who later told police that he consumed several beers prior to the accident. Police require Anderson to install a monitoring gadget in his vehicle, and he has to settle a bail worth $15,000.
