170 motorcycle gang members charged after deadly Waco gun fight

At least 170 motorcycle group members were charged in Waco, Texas after a recent gang-related gun fight that killed nine people, The New York Times reported on May 18.

The grand jury and state prosecutors are still determining the charges that will be filed against the arrested bikers. Authorities initially charged the arrested bikers with organized crime related to capital murder. A bond of $1 million was imposed on each of the arrested bikers, who were all held at the Waco Convention Center, according to Sergeant Patrick Swanton. At least nine people were killed and 18 others were hurt after a gun fight broke out primarily between two rival motorcycle gangs, the Bandidos and the Cossacks, in a restaurant parking lot on May 17.
